Matt Garrett, CEO and Founder
Matt Garrett is the Founder and President of Garrett Construction Inc.
Matt is a HAAG certified Roof inspector (#201209206) and a licensed General Contractor. Being in the Construction and Property Management business for over 21 years, Matt has faithfully served in the East Tennessee region. Matt built his company around three core principles:
– Be Honest
– Do it right
– If something goes wrong, make it right
These three principles are the pillars of Garrett Construction and are the reason Garrett Construction Inc. is where it is today.
Matt Garrett graduated from East Tennessee State University and is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Leigh Ann Garrett, Director of Sales and Marketing
I am Leigh Ann Garrett, Director of Sales and Marketing and Matt’s wife of 20 years. I joined the Garrett Construction Team in 2010. It has been very rewarding to be a part of the successful Garrett Construction Team and to add my expertise in sales and marketing. I grew up in Clinton Tennessee and graduated from UT with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. I spent most of my career working in the Senior Care Industry. I was Director of Sales and Marketing for Kindred Healthcare’s East Tennessee District, Administrator of Atria Weston Place Assisted Living and Regional Director of Operations for Camellia Home Health. The greatest parallel and reward throughout all my career is being in the business of helping people. It is an honor and a privilege to work with Matt and our stellar team to help people with their construction needs.
Nathan Kluemper, Senior Project Manager
I have nearly 20 years of construction experience and a degree in Civil Engineering where I concentrated on structural engineering and construction management. My background consists of Industrial, commercial, residential and insurance restoration construction. I am married with 3 daughters and we moved our family here in 2006 and enjoy raising them in East TN. I am a member of NorthStar Church and I believe in a “Genuine Concern for Others” and try to apply to all of our projects. I enjoy taking a project from the start and seeing it all the way through completion. I also enjoy watching my daughters play soccer as well as watching both college and professional sports.
Sonia Baumann, Business Office Manager
I joined the Garrett Construction Team in 2011. I have a degree in Accounting from University of Memphis. My experience includes 15 years working in the Accounting and Tax departments for Federal Express. I am a married, mother of three amazing teenagers. Our family moved to Knoxville in 2003, and it’s one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. We are members of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. I love all types of sports and am an avid Volunteer fan….Go Big Orange.
Gary Allen, Project Manager
My name is Gary Allen and I teamed with Garrett Construction in January of 2012. My original position was marketing and sales. Today I have advanced to project management overseeing construction projects from start to finish. My background consists of small business ownership, which encompasses most of the work I perform today. What I enjoy most is getting the opportunity to know my clients, and seeing that the job is completed to the best of our team’s ability. I currently reside in West Knoxville with my wife of 20 years and two teenage children.
Ken Rochelle, Project Manager
My name is Ken Rochelle. I’ve lived in East Tennessee most of my life, a Maryville High School and University of Tennessee grad while living in the Rocky Hill area of West Knoxville for the past 30 years. I spent a decade in the insurance restoration business, 5 years as a property adjuster, and 11 years as VP of a local stone/masonry company in the Knoxville area. Joining the Garrett team in December, 2016 brings a host of experiences full circle for me. I have a wife of 27 years, and 2 lovely and talented daughters that take after my wife. Otherwise, you’ll find me in the choir at Middlebrook Pike United Methodist Church, the golf course, or with a book in my hand. Go Vols.
Drew Trieschmann, Project Manager
I joined the Garrett team in 2017. I have 17 years of construction experience, 14 of those owning my own building and development company in St. Louis, Missouri. I live in West Knoxville with my wife of 25 years and I have 3 grown children, 1 teenager, and a grandson. I enjoy coaching and training kids, as well as being a mentor to at risk youth. I believe in the work we do here at Garrett because we put quality and integrity above all else. Our standards are high and it shows in our completed projects and our satisfied customers.
Amanda Lay, Junior Project Manager
I have been with Garrett Construction Inc since October 2017. I have previous experience in construction coordination and human resource/diversity business management and as an expert connector with 10 plus years experience. My favorite thing about project management is unfolding ideas and dreams into tangible reality.
I currently resides among the heritage homes of Old North Knoxville and am an active member of Central United Methodist Church, Crossfit Knoxville and co-operater of the Kindred Market. On a good day, you can find me on the patio of Last Days of Autumn.
Zoey Garrett, Watchdog/Greeter
