A family owned and operated business, Garrett Construction and Roofing offers a personal approach and commitment to quality that are built into every project. Under the experienced leadership of Matt Garrett, we have been serving Knoxville and the East Tennessee area since 2005. We are a licensed General Contractor with Haag-certified roofing inspectors on staff who are skilled in knowing how to assess and repair the impact of hail and wind on residential and commercial roofing.

Our general services range from full residential and commercial construction projects to remodeling, painting, drywall, roofing and gutters. We also help with disaster recovery with experienced teams available to address fire and water damage. We are insurance-restoration experts known for simplifying the rebuilding process. We help you every step of the way during what can be one of life’s most stressful events.

Our Story

I started in the construction industry in 1993 and in 2005 I founded Garrett Construction, Inc. My wife, Leigh, and I are thankful to have our business headquartered in East Tennessee. We truly enjoy the beauty and generosity that is abundant in this community.

Being a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and serving our country was a true honor. A lot of the values instilled in me during my service carries over into the caliber and integrity seen in our construction projects.

My thoughts on construction are very simple and straight forward: Be honest, Do it right! And if something goes wrong make it right. I have built my company on these basic principles, and we have thrived in the industry when others have struggled. I have assembled a great team, and we look forward to doing business with you.
